Ceramics - Concurrent
(BCCC Concurrent Credit Optional) This course is a high intensity, challenging ceramics course designed for students with some background in wheelthrown ceramics. This course involves an in-depth study of ceramics as a three-dimensional art medium. The students will learn forming methods, pinch, coil, slab, and wheel techniques, and various surface decoration techniques. They will study the origin of clay, a basic knowledge of ceramics art history, and gain an appreciation for ceramics. Fee: $30 ( additional charge for various projects) BCCC tuition for concurrent credit (3hrs.). Grades: 11, 12 Prerequisite: Art Exploration, Wheel-Thrown Ceramics Semester: 1/2 credit |
