Introduction to Computer Information
Systems MIS 101 (QAR)
(FHSU Concurrent Credit Required)
This course is an introduction to computers and
information systems. The course meets a Foundation Studies
General Education requirement for FHSU. The emphasis is
on improving productivity and communications through the
effective use of computer technology. The course will review
concepts/skills from Hays High’s Computer Applications I,
build advanced skills in Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint;
introduce MS Windows; and study hardware.
Fee: FHSU tuition for concurrent credit (3hrs.).
