The course serves as a continuation of Clothing and offers the
development of advanced clothing construction skills.
Advanced skills may include, but not be limited to: pleats,
zippers and linings. Students will use the sewing machine, the
serger, and will be introduced to the Bernina Artista
computerized embroidery system. Three clothing projects will
be required and may include “sewing for others”.
Grades: 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: Clothing
Semester: 1/2 credit
Supplies: fabric, patterns, notions, sewing equipment*
