Nutrition and Healthy Eating
This course is for the student who is motivated to explore foods
as they relate to their health, appearance and performance.
Topics will include, but not be limited to: nutrients and their functions;
nutritional needs through the lifespan; influences on food choices;
benefits of activity; label reading; and eating disorders.
Students will prepare recipes in lab that reinforce the topics
introduced. (Can be taken for ½ health credit)

Prerequisite: Basic Food Prep. or junior/senior status
