This class will focus on the specific consumer issues the
student will encounter throughout his/her adult life. Topics to
be discussed: the economy; consumer rights and
responsibilities; earning and spending; saving and investing;
credit; fraudulent and/or deceptive sales practices; insurance;
transportation; clothing and housing needs; health care costs;
and social responsibilities. Realistic applications will be used
to address economic issues.
