Principles of Residential Construction/IHT
This course is a highly advanced course in the fi eld of light
residential construction in a hands-on environment. Students
will be exposed to the principles, processes and equipment
commonly found within the field of light construction.
Student activities will include the construction of a garage,
custom cabinetry and remodeling. Course topics include
structural framing, building materials, general safety, plans and
specifi cations and careers. Students who have a serious interest
in the building trades are encouraged to take this course.
Grades: 11, 12
Prerequisite: Teacher recommendation, Woodworking
