Biology Applied (QAR)
This introductory course focuses on the seven unifying themes
of life; Cells, Reproduction, Energy use, Heredity,
Homeostasis, Evolution and Interdependence. These themes
are investigated using the Scientific Method and hands-on
activities in order to facilitate student understanding of, and an
appreciation for, the diversity of life, the living world, and the
impact of human interactions in nature.
Fees: Replacement costs for items broken by the student will
be charged.

Prerequisite: None
Year: 1 credit
Supplies: 2 Composition notebooks will be purchased at
enrollment. Colored pencils, 3-ring notebook, loose-leaf paper,
metric ruler, black ink pen, package of 3x5 note cards.
