Advanced Broadcasting/IHT
Students may apply and interview for a position on Hays
High School’s Channel 13 broadcasting, video production,
and/or video editing team. This course is designed to meet
the individual needs of students as it relates to the advanced
study in communications systems and multimedia production.
In collaboration with the advanced video production class,
students will participate in the public educational programs and
community events that will include news and feature programs.
Students will also participate in public address announcing and
sports/activity broadcasting. Applications may be obtained
from instructors or the Guidance Offi ce.
Grades: 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: Instructor permission, Radio & TV

Semester: 1/2 credit
Supplies: 2-9 volt batteries, 2-DVC high quality tapes
