Advanced Video Editing
Students may apply and interview for a position on Hays
High School’s Channel 13 broadcasting, video production,
and/or video editing team. This course continues from the
information studied in the beginning video productions class.
In Advanced Video Editing you will learn unique features
designed specifi cally for video artists, digital cartoon animators
and editors. You will learn using the most complete professional
tool set in the industry. Whether you are watching television,
browsing the web, reading a magazine, taking in a new movie
at the theater, you will learn the techniques used to develop and
design these features. We will also learn about, design, and
build studio sets that can be used for the advanced Channel 13
classroom. Applications may be obtained from instructors or
the Guidance Offi ce.
(Can be taken for 1/2 computer credit.)
Grades: 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: Video Production Studies, Instructor

Supplies: 2-9 volt batteries, 2-DVC high quality tapes
