Hays High Academic Honesty

Being a member of the Hays High School learning community places certain obligations and responsibilities upon each student. All students are expected to perform their own work and complete their own assignments with honesty and without unauthorized assistance. The following examples of academic dishonesty apply:

- Using or copying a test key.

- Copying answers during a test or giving others answers during a test.

- Failing to give proper credit for using someone else’s work.

- Copying others work or letting another student copy one’s work – this includes but is not limited to homework, research papers, projects, laboratory reports, take-home exams or any school assignment.

When a student is guilty of academic dishonesty, consequences will be determined on an individual basis. Should there be repeated infractions, disciplinary action will follow.
