Production Welding Processes I(A)
Students are exposed to job specifi c skills while learning correct terms and procedures involved within the welding profession. Each student will use different types of welding machines as they learn how to perform a variety of different functions. Group problem solving activities will be emphasized in the performance of tasks in the classroom. Students will complete various projects to enhance classroom learning. Job related skills such as time management, safety, higher level thinking skills, and the importance of working as a “team” member will be encouraged.
Fee: $20 (Additional fees may be incurred based on the number of projects a student completes.)
Grades: 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: Introduction to Metals
Semester: 1/2 credit
Supplies: Safety glasses, long sleeve cotton shirt, paint pen
