Advanced Musicianship

This course is intended to allow the students the opportunity to further develop their musical skills. The class will focus on the areas of voice production (group vocal instruction), basic keyboard skills (group beginning piano), sight-reading, basic theory (with composition), and music history. Both the student planning to continue with their musical studies at the college level and the student only wishing to improve their music skills while in high school will fi nd this class challenging and rewarding.

Grades: 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: Prior enrollment (middle or high school) or concurrent enrollment in either Band, Choir or Orchestra
Semester: 1/2 credit
